tmfs:: To My Future Husband:
Please don’t try to make me feel better about my sin. That is my Father’s job. I will appreciate you so much more if you despise my sin and what it has done and continues to do in my life, and challenge me to overcome it and its effects in my life. That is the leadership that I need and want from…

Hosea 10:12
Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.Sometimes, seasons last for a long time.. They seem like they’ll never end.. I feel like I’ve been in this rut of a place for months.. I’ve hardly blogged because i haven’t had too many pearls of holy inspiration or movement to share. That’s not to say the Lord isn’t moving in my life, because He is, I’m more alive then i’ve ever known but im also more dead then ive ever been. So much of who i’ve been has been crucified in 2011, and its like im learning to really live for the first time. I had never reaped & tasted the fruit of the Spirit because i wasn’t set free. I was saved, but in bondage to my sin nature, addictive thought patterns, idols, and this world. It’s been quite a journey.. a painful one, when i prayed that the Lord would make me like Him (1 Peter 1:15) i had no idea what to expect. Pruning hurts,(John 15:2) it’s really like having something that was attached to you ripped off and you’re left with nothing but a jagged open wound. If you know anything about the way the human body heals, it’s much better to have the luxury of intact skin, it protects the body from infection and heals faster because its easier for the layer to adhere to the original location. When you have a jagged open wound the healing process is much more delicate and time consuming and new epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous tissue has to be created.
God is not gonna work with whats already there, he’s gonna do something completely new, He’s redeeming every last molecule of your body. He’s going deep, digging up the foundations of your ground.(Hosea 10) Yet, we fight. We won’t let it go, we look back, and just like the Israelites in the wilderness believe we had it better off before in our slavery (Exodus 16). It’s really quite stupid..
Isaiah 43 says
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
HE’S ALWAYS FAITHFUL & TRUE. It’s time to believe him, I’m tired of comparing there’s no comparison. It’s just an illusion.. Trust = Faith. When you trust Him, you are comforted by His unfailing love. When you have faith in Him its counted as righteousness (Phil 3:9)(Romans 1:17). I’m ready to be an obedient slave to righteous living (Romans 6) If we know sin leads to death then we know that righteous living leads to holiness & eternal life, but what does that mean for today? That means that when you’re here, seeking Him, waiting for the day He showers you with His righteousness you can walk in abundant life with Christ experiencing all the benefits of your covenant relationship with Him here on earth. Joy! Peace! Satisfaction! Rest! Knowing Him! & His Presence! You have access to these things authentically and fully, there no cap, no limit, today or forever more..

There is a joy which is not given to the ungodly, but to those who love Thee for Thine own sake, whose joy Thou Thyself art. And this is the happy life, to rejoice to Thee, of Thee, for Thee; this it is, and there is no other.
Augustine

Some of you have truly been brought by God to believe in Jesus. Yet you have no abiding peace, and very little growth in holiness. Why is this? It is because your eye is fixed anywhere but on Christ. You are so busy looking at books, or looking at men, or looking at the world, that you have no time, no heart, for looking at Christ. No wonder you have little peace and joy in believing. No wonder you live so inconsistent and unholy a life. Change your plan. Consider the greatness and glory of Christ, who has undertaken all in the stead of sinners, and you would find it quite impossible to walk in darkness, or to walk in sin. Oh, what low, despicable thoughts you have of the glorious Immanuel! Lift your eyes from your own bosom, downcast believer - look upon Jesus. It is good to consider your ways, but it is far better to consider Jesus. Oh, believer, consider Jesus. Meditate on these things. Look and look again, until your peace flows like a river.

Come boldly, O believer, for despite the whisperings of satan and the doubtings of thine own heart, thou art greatly beloved.

So Good.

Psalm 55
1 Listen to my prayer, O God,
do not ignore my plea;
2 hear me and answer me.
My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught
3 because of what my enemy is saying,
because of the threats of the wicked;
for they bring down suffering on me
and assail me in their anger.4 My heart is in anguish within me;
the terrors of death have fallen on me.
5 Fear and trembling have beset me;
horror has overwhelmed me.
6 I said, “Oh, that I had the wings of a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest.
7 I would flee far away
and stay in the desert;
8 I would hurry to my place of shelter,
far from the tempest and storm.”9 Lord, confuse the wicked, confound their words,
for I see violence and strife in the city.
10 Day and night they prowl about on its walls;
malice and abuse are within it.
11 Destructive forces are at work in the city;
threats and lies never leave its streets.12 If an enemy were insulting me,
I could endure it;
if a foe were rising against me,
I could hide.
13But it is you, a man like myself,
my companion, my close friend,
14with whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship
at the house of God,
as we walked about
among the worshipers.15 Let death take my enemies by surprise;
let them go down alive to the realm of the dead,
for evil finds lodging among them.16As for me, I call to God,
and the LORD saves me.
17Evening, morning and noon
I cry out in distress,
and he hears my voice.
18 He rescues me unharmed
from the battle waged against me,
even though many oppose me.
19God, who is enthroned from of old,
who does not change—
he will hear them and humble them,
because they have no fear of God.20 My companion attacks his friends;
he violates his covenant.
21 His talk is smooth as butter,
yet war is in his heart;
his words are more soothing than oil,
yet they are drawn swords.22Cast your cares on the LORD
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken.
23 But you, God, will bring down the wicked
into the pit of decay;
the bloodthirsty and deceitful
will not live out half their days.But as for me, I trust in you.
Sometimes, it’s hard to walk in forgiveness, and we wanna fly away like birds to a safe place. AND STAY THERE. Sometimes the person closest to you deceives you. A broken trust, a premeditated offense with disregard to the affects on others, that kiss that betrays.
Here David is speaking of such a thing, an internal agony. His grief is consuming him, he’s overwhelmed, shocked and can barely believe the “companion” he worshiped the Lord with has brought him to this state. I can relate, i think we all can to an extent, we’ve all been hurt & let down.
David is my favorite cause he’s real, raw, and emotional. This passage ministers to me so much through his response. RESPONSE is everything in life. Here David holds on to truth & Gods promises. That God hears him,will sustain him, &that the righteous won’t be shaken. David trusts the Lord in justice.
Give God back His territory. Won’t you loosen your grip and allow the God of peace to mend the fragmented pieces of your heart?
I encourage you cleanse your heart, be vulnerable & honest with God, tell Him how you feel invite the Holy Spirit to dwell within you as a clean vessal
&
“Let the Healing Stream of Jehovah Rafa (The God who Heals) wash you thorough. The Holy Spirit is doing a work in you. Let His fire burn in you, let His power be displayed in you and through you. Give Him full permission to do what needs to be done now. Let Him go in each room and make everything in order.
Now - Take a moment - be silent before your Healer. Let Him comfort you and love you. Do whatever He tells you to do, if you want to shout go ahead and do it. If you want to cry, cry and do not rush in the Presence of God. Dwell in His presence. “

Jesus the Great High Priest
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. - Hebrews 4 -

“When I get lonely these days, I think: So be lonely. Learn your way around loneliness. Make a map of it. Sit with it, for once in your life. Welcome to the human experience. But never again use another person’s body or emotions as a scratching post for your own unfulfilled yearnings.”
